Though illness kept her from being physically active at the sanctuary in recent years, Jerri never stopped being a powerful presence in our mission. She offered emotional support, helpful counsel, and strong support during our most challenging decisions. Her love for animals started young—she was known to bring home every stray that followed her—and that spirit has carried into everything this rescue stands for.

 Even in her final days, Jerri found comfort in being visited by sanctuary animals—pigs, goats, and even a baby lamb. She held onto our mission with pride and purpose.

Jerri is survived by her devoted children:

Melissa(Darin), Monica(Joseph), Mariah(Corey), and McKenzie, as well as her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
