Before You Decide to Surrender
Exhaust All Alternatives
Explore all possible avenues to resolve the challenges you are facing with your pet, including behavioral training, medical consultations, or financial assistance programs.
Seek Community Support
Reach out to friends, family, or community resources for help. Sometimes temporary arrangements can preserve your pet's placement in the home they know.
Understand the Impact
Surrender can have a negative emotional and physical impact on your pet and on the resources of local rescues. Please consider all options before making this decision.
Try Rehoming First
Consider finding a suitable home through personal networks. Screen potential adopters carefully, request references, and charge a reasonable fee to deter unscrupulous individuals.
